Great review as always Todd, I follow you as NCVaping. this was a awesome review, I strongly believe that the mini mods are on a comeback, were they had faded into the back ground there for a while. My wife loves mini mods, I had got her a mini nemi and she loves it. So I am watching out for mini mods for her and this Fakirs just looks wonderful. Thank you for all you do Todd, we very much appreciate everything you do.
Todd! Great review! I had a quick question for ya. When it comes to spheroid type devices or just the spheroid in general, is it possible to use cotton as wicking rather than silica or does silica just work that much better with the troy mini or the spheroid? I have a GP spheroid coming and i was just curious because it's been ages that I've used silica.
I use cotton in my Spheroid and it's great. You don't need that much. My cotton 'horns' are about 10mm long if that. Rather fancy the look of the Troy X mini. It'd fit nicely inside a MicroStick or a Gizmo.
My fx16/troy-x took 20 days to arrive to my door in the USA. The hybrid contact is crooked, the threads are squeaky and easily cross-thread and there are machining marks down the entire length of the tube--very noticable. The logo/serial number on the atomizer are also not aligned evenly. I can't get any topper without an adjustable 510 pin to fire with the included 510 top cap. The button is mushy, but works. Overall I'm not sure I'm happy with it and for the price I expected a little more quality and attention to detail. Hell, my nemesis 14500 clone was $30 and easily outshines the fx16 in terms of machining quality IMO. Oh well. $160 not well spent.
